E-Commerce Poll

OK, so I am doing a lot of research and studies on E- Commerce. Here are a couple quick questions that I am going to throw at you... Thank you in advance for any feed back you can give me.

1) What type of products do you feel comfortable buying off of the internet?

2) What is it that propels you to buy off of a certain online store? (ie. security, good deals, etc.)

3) What type of item do you wish was sold online? (Maybe you are just not happy with the present selection..)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This is not a marketing ploy or anything like that... it is just to satisfy my curiosity... to see how my opinions fair with everyone else's.

I am a shopper. In fact, I'll shop around for things months or years before I intend on buying them as my own little wierd "research." So, I will buy any type of product online, but normally I have seen and touched it in person at some point first. Plus, it has to be new. I don't trust used things online. I'd rather pay a few bucks more to know it will work and is backed by a real company.

This then brings me to the next question: at the point I am ready to buy, it is all about where I can find the best price. I'll do my fair share of impulse purchases, but normally it is because I already know that the thing is a great deal.

Lastly, I don't think anything is missing. I've yet to search for something to buy online and not find it.

Whew, sorry for the long comment. Hope it helps.

1. something I can return to a local retail store or something I could turn around and sell again for the same value. I'm picky and have maybe bought 10 things online.

2. security of course, ease of return to a store or via the mail, the ability to store stuff in a virtual "shopping cart" for a later purchase, and website design.

3. I honestly can't think of anything I can't get online that I would add here.

I hope this helps Ernie.

I think I would love the easy factor with decorating. It would be nice to get ideas online..and not have to set up appointments etc...so I think Its a great idea what you are working towards.

I would look for a really secure site..something reputable to transfer cash.

I would like to read testimonies from past clients and maybe the ability to email past clients to get a referal.

Photos of course..and different packages listed with all the options you offer. Short and sweet and customer friendly too.

Hope this helps

oh shoot... forgot to answer your post:

i won't buy things online that i need to try on. that annoys the hell outta me when something shows up in a size 11 for shoes... and you find that you need their size 12...

same with pants, etc..

the WAIT to send it back, etc is too long and annoying.

now, anything techy based is fine, as long as there'sa return policy. No tax for internet shopping RULZ too.. so that's a bonus.

Oh, and yesh, as a fellow marketer, and currently working on e*commerce solutions for my company with their eventual online offerings aside from my recent "new look" i did last month (www.fnsnet.com) SECURITY is a must.
